Get Back to
What Moves You.
Surgery isn’t always the answer.
The right treatment starts with understanding what’s causing your symptoms. We prioritize nonsurgical options whenever possible. When surgery is appropriate, we choose the least invasive, most effective approach to help you recover and get back to what matters.

01
Nonsurgical care first
Many neck and back conditions can be treated without surgery. When appropriate, options such as physical therapy, medication, activity changes, and injections are considered before an operation.
02
The least invasive effective option
If surgery may help, Dr. Adapa recommends the least invasive approach that can effectively address the problem. Minimally invasive and motion-preserving techniques are considered when appropriate.
03
Prompt appointments
New patients are typically seen within 48 hours. Same day appointments are now available. Call the office to ask what is open this week. If you submit a request online instead, the office replies within two business days to confirm a time.

Meet Dr. Adapa
Understand the problem before choosing the treatment.
Dr. Adapa treats conditions affecting the neck, mid-back, and lower back, from common degenerative problems to complex deformity, trauma, infection, and tumors. His spine surgery fellowship at Mount Sinai included training in both orthopedic and neurosurgical techniques.
Every treatment plan begins with understanding your symptoms, daily activities, and goals. Dr. Adapa explains the diagnosis and considers appropriate nonsurgical care first. If surgery may help, he works with you to choose an approach that fits your condition and priorities.
You should understand your diagnosis, your options, and what to expect before making a decision about treatment.

Featured treatments
When surgery is the answer, the approach matters.
No single procedure is right for everyone. Dr. Adapa considers your diagnosis, anatomy, symptoms, and goals when recommending a surgical approach.
Cervical laminoplasty
Creates more room for the spinal cord while preserving movement in the neck. It may be an alternative to fusion for selected patients with cervical spinal cord compression.
Biportal endoscopic spine surgery
Uses two small incisions, one for a camera and one for surgical instruments, to reach the spine with less disruption to surrounding tissue.
Cervical and lumbar disc replacement
Replaces a damaged spinal disc with an artificial disc designed to preserve movement. It may be an alternative to fusion for selected patients.
Minimally invasive lumbar fusion
Stabilizes the lower spine through smaller, muscle-sparing pathways. This approach may be considered for conditions such as spondylolisthesis or spinal instability.
Prone lateral lumbar fusion
Approaches the lumbar spine from the side while the patient remains face down, allowing different parts of the procedure to be completed without repositioning.
Tubular decompression
Relieves pressure on spinal nerves through a small tube that gently separates the surrounding muscles rather than cutting directly through them.
Techniques and technology in use: patient-specific instrumentation · robotic and navigated techniques · motion preservation
